Course Outline:

The Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is an intermediate-level networking certification offered by Cisco Systems. It validates the knowledge and skills required to plan, implement, verify, and troubleshoot complex enterprise networking solutions.

The CCNP course builds upon the foundational knowledge covered in the CCNA course and covers advanced networking topics across three main modules or concentrations.

Course Content:

1. CCNP Enterprise

This concentration focuses on enterprise networking solutions. It covers advanced topics such as advanced routing protocols (OSPFv3, BGP, etc.), MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), QoS (Quality of Service), SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Networking), and network automation using tools like Python and Ansible.

2. CCNP Security

This concentration focuses on network security solutions. It covers topics such as secure network infrastructure, secure access, VPN (Virtual Private Network) technologies, secure routing and switching, firewall technologies, and intrusion prevention systems.

3. CCNP Data Center

This concentration focuses on data center networking solutions. It covers topics such as data center infrastructure design, storage networking, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), network automation and orchestration, Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure), and network security in the data center.

Note:

  • Each concentration has its own set of exams that need to be passed to obtain the CCNP certification. The exams consist of a combination of multiple-choice questions, simulations, and hands-on lab exercises to assess practical skills and knowledge.
  • The CCNP certification is highly valued in the networking industry and demonstrates advanced proficiency in designing and implementing complex network solutions. It is often sought after by network professionals who are looking to advance their careers and take on more senior roles, such as network engineers, network architects, and network consultants.
